Biotechnology and Chemistry Civil Engineer

María Cristina Gálvez joined the firm in 2012 as a patent engineer. Her practice is focused on chemical and biotechnology patents, particularly in the field of pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, polymers, chemical processes, mining and foodstuffs. She also has experience on patent drafting, examination, and prosecution of patents of invention, including prior art search with patentability analysis.

Her experience includes working in basic and applied science in Chile (CIBYB) and USA (MGH), especially on protein expression and purification, mammalian cell culture and scaling up to bioreactors.
