Sofía rejoined our firm in 2025. Her practice areas include advising on matters related to personal data protection, the protection, management, and licensing of intellectual property assets and technologies, as well as matters related to consumer law and advertising.

She regularly participates in projects that evaluate clients’ legal compliance with personal data protection regulations, designing and implementing legal mechanisms to increase the level of protection, such as data processing agreements and privacy policies. Her experience includes advising clients in various industries, such as finance, education, energy, and healthcare, among others.

She has participated in the negotiation of licensing and technology transfer agreements, facilitating strategic alliances and the commercialization of intangible assets. She has also participated in multiple due diligence processes for corporate transactions, analyzing the legal status, validity, and risks associated with the technological assets and other intellectual property assets of target companies.

She has also participated in and led the advisory services provided to start-ups for the protection of their intangible assets, including the identification of assets eligible for protection and the subsequent analysis for their proper management.
